Kingman Turquoise Sterling Silver Necklace

A beautiful Kingman Turquoise stone is the centerpiece of this handcrafted sterling silver necklace. The turquoise has a vibrant blue color with natural dark matrix running throughout the stone, giving it the distinctive character that makes turquoise so unique.

I set the stone in sterling silver and surrounded it with a textured and hand-stamped silver border. Small silver accents add additional detail around the stone, while the oxidized finish brings out the texture and gives the silver greater depth and contrast.

Three handcrafted sterling silver feathers hang freely beneath the pendant, adding movement and giving the necklace a strong Southwest character. I especially like how the feather details echo the hand-stamped and textured silver surrounding the turquoise.

The large decorative bail is also handcrafted and stamped, making it an intentional part of the overall design rather than simply a way to attach the pendant to the chain.

This is a substantial piece of artisan jewelry, handcrafted one piece at a time in my Arizona studio.
