Sleeping Beauty Turquoise & 18K Gold Sterling Silver Necklace

A beautiful Sleeping Beauty turquoise takes center stage in this contemporary Southwestern necklace, accented with rich 18K gold against textured, oxidized sterling silver.

The triangular turquoise cabochon has the clear, bright blue color Sleeping Beauty turquoise is known for. I set the stone in sterling silver and surrounded it with individually applied sterling silver and 18K gold details, creating an abstract design with a distinctly Southwestern influence.

The sterling silver background is heavily textured and oxidized, allowing the recessed areas to darken and giving the raised silver and warm gold accents greater dimension and contrast. A handcrafted 18K gold paddle hangs freely beneath the pendant, adding both movement and another touch of warm color.

The pendant hangs from an 18-inch solid sterling silver rolo chain, keeping the necklace at a versatile length that works beautifully with both open and higher necklines.

The back is marked .935 sterling silver, 18K gold, and my maker's mark.
