Size 7.5 - King’s Manassa Turquoise Sterling Silver Ring

This statement ring features a King’s Manassa Turquoise stone from Colorado, with a beautiful clear turquoise-blue color and subtle natural matrix. The stone is bezel set in sterling silver and surrounded by extensive hand-cut and formed silver work, twisted wire, and silver bead accents.

King’s Manassa Turquoise comes from a historic mine near Manassa, Colorado. Turquoise was mined at the site by Ancestral Puebloan people centuries ago. The mine was rediscovered in 1890 by I.P. King and later became known for the distinctive turquoise produced there. The mine has been out of production for many years, making older King’s Manassa material increasingly difficult to find.

The silver has been oxidized and polished to emphasize the detailed design. A substantial multi-wire band complements the large setting. The underside is stamped with the hallmark and maker's mark.
