Molten Silver & Peridot Sterling Silver Necklace

This handcrafted sterling silver necklace features a small organic molten silver pendant accented with a faceted green Peridot.

The pendant was created by heating sterling silver until molten and dropping it into cold water, allowing the silver to form its own unpredictable shape and texture. I used that naturally formed silver as the basis for the design, adding texture and the bright green Peridot for a small touch of color.

The silver has been oxidized and polished to emphasize the contrasting textures and details. Because the molten silver forms differently each time, this pendant is truly one of a kind.

The pendant hangs from a 17-inch sterling silver chain with a 2-inch extension, allowing it to be worn up to 19 inches.
