Fine Silver & 24K Gold Pendant Necklace

Handcrafted from Precious Metal Clay, this contemporary pendant begins as a moldable silver material that I shape and texture by hand. It is then kiln-fired at high temperature, burning away the binder and fusing the silver particles into solid .999 fine silver.

The deeply textured silver is oxidized to bring out the pattern, while a dimensional open square accented with fused 24K gold creates a striking contrast against the darker silver. I especially like how the irregular textures and geometric shapes give this piece an artistic, almost architectural quality.

The pendant hangs from an 18-inch chain with an additional 2-inch extension, allowing it to be worn up to 20 inches.
